Man dismembers woman after date

http://ktvq.images.worldnow.com/images/10310692_G.jpgThe human remains discovered Saturday in a Seattle homeowner’s recycling bin belong to a 40-year-old mother of three girls who vanished after going on a date with a man she met online, police say.
Cops identified the victim as Ingrid Lyne, a nurse from Renton who vanished Friday after a scheduled date at the Seattle Mariners’ home opener, it was reported.
John Robert Charlton, 37, was arrested in connection to the slaying.
Authorities were able to identify Lyne because one of the body parts discovered in the Central District receptacle was a head, a law enforcement source told the Times.
As The Daily Beast previously reported, a Seattle man returning home from a trip made the gruesome discovery Saturday around 4 p.m. Inside the recycling bin behind his home were three “fresh” body parts, which also included a foot.
At a press conference late Monday, cops said Charlton had been booked into King County Jail on suspicion of homicide that morning. Charlton had been living in Snohomish County.
His rap sheet includes convictions for misdemeanor assault in 1997 and misdemeanor battery in 2009 in Idaho. He was found guilty of marijuana possession in 1997 but the charge was deferred upon completion of a drug program, according to the Times.
According to Montana Department of Corrections records, Charlton was also convicted of theft in 2009.
The day after the Mariners game, Lyne’s ex-husband planned to drop off their kids—three daughters ranging in age from 8 to 12 years old—but found his ex-wife wasn’t at home. She was reported missing after 10 a.m. Saturday, the Times reported.
Even before Charlton’s arrest, Lyne’s friends pleaded for help in finding the missing mom and posted photographs of her date online.
“She was on a date Friday night at the Mariners game with a guy she had recently met named John Charlton. No one has heard from Ingrid or John since Friday night. Please call Seattle PD or 911 if you have seen Ingrid, John or her car since last Friday,” one friend wrote on Sunday.
Cops later found Lyne’s SUV, a silver 2015 Toyota Highlander initially reported stolen, in downtown Seattle.
As part of the probe, Seattle and Renton cops conducted search warrants at an undisclosed location in Renton and recovered evidence, the Times reported. Another search warrant was served in Snohomish County.
On Saturday, Charlton made a strange Facebook update, changing his education status to “School of All OF Them.”
Called “Johnnie” by relatives on Facebook, the alleged killer described himself as “self-employed” and posted photos of his sister, who also lives in the Seattle area.
Lyne’s friends shared their grief on social media Monday after cops tentatively identified her body.
“How do I turn off my brain and silence my heart? I have a small handful of true friends and Ingrid Rounsaville Lyne is one of them,” one friend wrote on Facebook. “I am just sickened and saddened at what this world has become. This senseless act has left a hole in many hearts today.”
Meanwhile, a Renton woman whose children go to school with Lyne’s launched a GoFundMe page for Lyne’s daughters. The site raised about $18,000 by Tuesday afternoon.
“Many have help spread the word looking for this mother and now the worst has come true,” wrote Melissa Korda, the fundraiser’s organizer. “Ingrid left behind many that loved her, but most importantly her 3 daughters are now without a mother. It is heartbreaking to think of the journey ahead for this family.”
