Donald Trump has repeatedly denied that he has had business dealings
with members of the mob, accusations that got new airing after Texas
Sen. Ted Cruz suggested his rival was reluctant to release his tax
returns because they would reveal shady activity.
Monday, the daughter of one such figure to whom Trump has been linked in the past says the Republican presidential front-runner is lying about the extent of his relationship with her late father, who was linked to organized crime.
Edith Creamer, the daughter of Robert LiButti, told Yahoo News that Trump and her father, knew each other well.
LiButti was a nationally famous horse trader who was banned from New Jersey casinos for his ties to mob boss John Gotti after a 1991 investigation. That same probe also led to $650,000 in fines against one of Trump's Atlantic City casinos, the Trump Plaza, for violating anti-discrimination laws among other violations.
