Taco Bell Firing California Employee For Taco-Licking Photo

Taco Bell is firing a California employee who was photographed licking a stack of taco shells.
The shot was made in March at a Taco Bell in Ridgecrest, 100 miles north of Los Angeles.
Taco Bell Products Inc. says the shells were provided for workers to practice making its new Cool Ranch tacos and were thrown out without being sold.
The Irvine-based company says the photograph was taken for a contest showing employees enjoying their first bite of the product. It wasn't submitted, but a worker posted it to a Facebook page -- which violates company policy.
Taco Bell says the worker also violated food handling procedures.
The company says the licker has been suspended and will be fired, while the photographer no longer works at the restaurant.

Talking About Pot-bellied pig... Fire Up The Pork, I'm Mean Blunt lol

Butcher feeds marijuana to pigs to create true high-quality meat

There are pot brownies, pot cookies, pot muffins, pot butter. The next cannabis-laced food? Bacon. And chops, ham and, well, any part of a pig you care to eat. Pot-cured pork, anyone? William von Schneidau’s BB Ranch butcher shop, located in Seattle’s Pike Place Market, is selling meat from marijuana-fed pigs.  (Washington voters passed a pot-legalization initiative last fall). Von Schneidau has teamed with nearby Bucking Boar Farms for the pot pigs, who are given weed as part of their regular diet. Apparently, the stems and leaves from pot plants add fiber to the oinkers’ diets, which makes their meat more, ahem, savory. Diners also (we assume) reported an insatiable case of the munchies, finding second-helpings irresistible.

2 Cops 2 Cities 2 Rape cases involving the officers... WTF?

HERO COP: Cop 1

A former Philadelphia police officer once hailed as a hero and given a seat next to the first lady at a speech by President Obama has been arrested and charged with rape and other crimes.
Authorities allege that former officer Richard DeCoatsworth left a party with two females early Thursday and took them to another location, where they allege that he produced a handgun and "forced the two females to engage in the use of narcotics and sexual acts."
A police spokeswoman said the two called police after he left, and 27-year-old DeCoatsworth was charged with rape, sexual assault, terroristic threats and related offenses.
DeCoatsworth was hailed as a hero after he was shot in the face during a traffic stop in September 2007 but still managed to chase after his attacker, who was later sentenced to 36 to 72 years in prison.
DeCoatsworth was invited by Vice President Joe Biden to attend the president's televised February 2009 address to Congress and sat with first lady Michelle Obama. He said he didn't know why he had been singled out, but being in the presence of the nation's leaders was an honor "that I will keep with me for the rest of my life."
WCAU-TV, which first reported his arrest, said DeCoatsworth retired from the department on disability in December 2011.
Police said no other information on the alleged attack would be released Saturday to protect the victims and the integrity of the ongoing investigation. Authorities declined to give even general locations for the party and alleged crime scene and also wouldn't say when DeCoatsworth was arrested.
A listed number for DeCoatsworth has been disconnected and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.
Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey told a Philadelphia Daily News columnist in February of last year that he believed he had made a mistake in granting the former officer's request to go back to work too soon after he was shot.
"God bless him for still wanting to get out there and do police work, but did I act in his best interest? In hindsight, I would say probably not," Ramsey told columnist Sty Bykofsky.

L.A. COP: Cop 2

Prosecutors have filed charges against a veteran Los Angeles police officer who allegedly lured two young girls to his Castaic-area home and molested them.
Miguel Angel Schiappapietra Jr., 28, pleaded not guilty Tuesday to two felony counts of lewd acts on a child under 14 years of age.
His attorney, David D. Diamond, said he was still in the process of reviewing the allegations but added, "The only thing worse than lewd acts against a minor is being falsely accused of lewd acts against a minor."
Schiappapietra was arrested Saturday morning after the girls, ages 5 and 8, told detectives the officer sexually molested them.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department officials confirmed the Saturday arrest but would not elaborate on the nature of the crimes or what, if any, relationship the officer has to the victims.
Schiappapietra, a six-year department veteran assigned to the Foothill Division, was off-duty at the time of his arrest. The case is being investigated by the Sheriff's Special Victims Unit.
He was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff's station and held in lieu of $200,000.
Schiappapietra is now on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal LAPD review, as well as the ongoing criminal investigation.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled May 30.

Pakistani protester dies from breathing smoke of burning US flags

A protester in Lahore, Pakistan has died after inhaling the fumes from the American flags he burned on Sunday. Abdullah Ismail was part of a demonstration protesting the Islam-trolling film "The Innocence of Muslims" in front of the U.S. Embassy. According to his fellow protesters, Ismail "complained of feeling unwell from [breathing] the smoke" of the burning American flags and was transported to Lahore's Mayo Hospital where he later died. More than 10,000 people filled the streets to protest the film and its blasphemy, blocking traffic for over six hours.

How Mitt Romney just lost the election Comments caught on video reveal that the GOP candidate thinks half of Americans are losers. This is an utter disaster for his campaign.

By Josh Barro

You can mark my prediction now: A secret recording from a closed-door Mitt Romney fundraiser, released Monday by David Corn at Mother Jones, has killed the Mitt Romney campaign for president.

On the tape, Romney explains that his electoral strategy involves writing off nearly half the country as unmovable Obama voters. As Romney explains, 47 percent of Americans "believe that they are victims." He laments: "I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

So what's the upshot? "My job is not to worry about those people," he says. He also notes, describing President Obama's base, "These are people who pay no income tax. Forty-seven percent of Americans pay no income tax."

This is an utter disaster for Romney.

Romney already has trouble relating to the public and convincing people he cares about them. Now, he's been caught on video saying that nearly half the country consists of hopeless losers.

Romney has been vigorously denying President Obama's claims that his tax plan would raise taxes on the middle class. Now, he's been caught on video suggesting that low- and middle-income Americans are under taxed.

That one is especially problematic, given the speculation about what's on his unreleased pre-2010 tax returns.

Corn tells us there are more embarrassing moments on segments of the video he hasn't released yet. Romney jokes that he'd be more likely to win the election if he were Hispanic. He makes some awkward comments about whether he was born with a "silver spoon" in his mouth.

But those are survivable. The really disastrous thing is the clip about "victims," and the combination of contempt and pity that Romney shows for anyone who isn't going to vote for him.

Romney is the most opaque presidential nominee since Nixon, and people have been reduced to guessing what his true feelings are. This video provides an answer: He feels that you're a loser. It's not an answer that wins elections.

Cops on the hunt for 6-year-old suspect in McDonald's robbery

A kid who should've been ordering Happy Meals is instead wanted for a robbery outside a McDonald’s. Police in Washington, D.C., are looking for the suspect, described as being "6 or 7 years old,” after he allegedly swiped a McCustomer's cellphone and ran away. According to the police report, the unnamed victim was confronted by a group of kids as he walked out with his meal. He offered one boy a cheeseburger, but they harassed him until he pulled out his phone to call 911. The kid then "snatched the phone from his hand and fled." Although we feel sorry for this guy, maybe if he spent less time eating at McDonald's, he could've outrun a damn 6-year-old.
