Kindergarter Keeps Kush in Knapsack (Video)

Police say a Pennsylvania father went to his son's elementary school to retrieve nearly four ounces of marijuana from the kindergartner's Elmo backpack.
State police say Ronald Washington, 33, called Menallen Elementary School in Uniontown on Thursday morning to ask if his son had arrived at school. Police say Washington told school officials he needed to fetch something from the boy's backpack, prompting school officials to search it.
Police say school officials called to say they had found pot in the bag. Troopers were waiting to arrest Washington when he arrived shortly before 9 a.m.
Online court records don't list an attorney for Washington. He was unable to post $100,000 and jailed.

Norfolk Trains beat the N.Y Jets 1-0

Keith Fitzhugh chose operating trains over a shot at a Super Bowl.

The free-agent safety turned down an offer to join the New York Jets to remain a conductor with Norfolk Southern Railroad and stay on track financially while helping support his parents in Atlanta.
''I've got something now where I know every two weeks I'm getting a paycheck,'' Fitzhugh told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Tuesday night. ''That's what helps out the most right now. I don't knock the Jets at all. I highly appreciate them.''
Jets coach Rex Ryan said the team was looking to sign a safety after Jim Leonhard was lost for the season last week with a broken shin and James Ihedigbo suffered a leg injury in New York's 45-3 loss to New England on Monday night. New York has only two safeties - Eric Smith and Brodney Pool - listed on its roster.
The 24-year-old Fitzhugh, who had stints in camp with the Jets the past two years, was contacted by the team but declined New York's offer to return.
''You don't hear this too often and some people might think it's not a good idea,'' Fitzhugh said. ''Some people might think it is. I don't know. I just have to look out for what's best for me and my family.''
Fitzhugh's decision was first reported by The Star-Ledger of Newark.
''To sacrifice what he did for his family is the most unselfish thing I've heard by a player in sports,'' said Daniel Rose, Fitzhugh's agent. ''It's really impressive.''
Fitzhugh's father, Keith Sr., is disabled and unable to work, while his mother, Meltonia, has been struggling to make ends meet.
''I know the Jets have a great opportunity of making the Super Bowl, and that's one dream that every child has is to play sports and make it to the Super Bowl or get to the World Series,'' Fitzhugh said. ''But, there's a time when you have to think, 'Hey, you've only got one Mom and Dad.' They won't be here forever, and while they're here, you've got to cherish that time.'

Fitzhugh went undrafted after an outstanding career at Mississippi State and signed last year with the Jets as a free agent. He was later cut and signed to the practice squad before Baltimore signed him last December. He re-signed with the Jets in the offseason.
''I was released three times. That's a lot,'' he said. ''I just don't want to give up what I have now and say that I'm there for a couple of weeks and then I'm released again. Then, what am I going to do? It's really tough. It's the nature of the business.''
Fitzhugh, who keeps in touch with a few former Jets teammates, has been working for Norfolk Southern Railroad for three months.
''I don't want to let them down or run from them because I got a shot for a couple of weeks,'' he said. ''I just feel that that's not right at the moment. I'm looking more long-term in life right now than the short-term.''
Fitzhugh said he has been blessed to work with his two childhood passions: football and trains. He also keeps close watch on his former team, to see if he still recognizes the defensive schemes Ryan is running.
''It's tough because I would love to say, 'Hey, I'm going to go out there and get it again,' but it's about a risk,'' he said. ''Is it the end of my NFL career forever? I don't know. This is what I need to do right now.''

Doctor Elvis Has Left the Building

It wasn't blue suede shoes but a pair of sneakers that led a San Francisco doctor dressed as Elvis Presley to a woman who passed out at a Las Vegas restaurant after a marathon.
Claudio Palma tells the Las Vegas Review-Journal he was dressed as the King after Sunday's Las Vegas Rock 'n' Roll half-marathon when he performed CPR and resuscitated another runner at the Burger Bar at Mandalay Place.
The 36-year-old was clad in a jumpsuit, sideburns and scarf for the race and may have looked like Presley, but in real life, he's an anesthesiologist.
Palma says paramedics then arrived, and the woman gave him a weird look. He said the patient kind of "freaked out" when she came to and he thinks that is because she didn't know why Elvis was kissing her. "She was giving me a weird look and telling me she was okay," Palma told the paper.
He says the incident wasn't the only heart-stopping one that day: Dr. Palma and his new wife Rhanee wed at a run-through chapel set up at Mile 2 of the race.

Chinese Train Hits 302 MPH, Breaks Commercial Speed Record

While California's high-speed rail network is just barely getting started (and won't even have trains for the foreseeable future) the aerodynamic beauty above just hit a new speed record for a commercial train—302 mph—on China's Beijing to Shanghai line.
If we had trains that fast in America, one could get from L.A. to Portland, Oregon, in five or six hours.

Santa Fired over Naughty Boys & Girls Joke

San Francisco's Macy's Union Square has had "Santa John" on the clock for 20 Christmases.
He's been on the job since 1990, but now John Toomey is out of a job because of a joke he says he's used for decades.
Macy's fired Toomey over the weekend after a couple who visited him for a photo complained the joke was in bad taste.
Toomey says he must have told it a thousand times and notes he only tells it to adults.
"When I ask the older people who sit on my lap if they've been good and they say, 'Yes,' I say, 'Gee, that's too bad.' Then, if they ask why Santa is so jolly, I joke that it's because I know where all the naughty boys and girls live," he explained.
Macy's hasn't commented on Toomey's dismissal.
Toomey is still hoping his long time employer will reconsider.

INMATE has "CELL" PHONE... (Video)

A Oklahoma man convicted of killing a sheriff used a "cell" phone from his prison cell to access Facebook! Walker, convicted of the 2001 murder of Pawnee County Sheriff Dwight Woodrell Jr., has been held in a medium-security facility, sentenced to 30 years for the killing acquired a Blackberry Smart-phone. Talk about things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Uploading photos of himself w/ a knife and smoking trees inprision like a true beast he was caught and now no more good times. Too bad he didn't use what he had and get the word out of how prison really is like Omar Broadway. Omar is a Black man  from New Jersey, a prison inmate who snuck a video camera into maximum security & will be premiering his documentary on HBO.
All I'm saying is be smart if you're gonna do something of this magnitude, make it count for more than 15min of fame. This man and his buddies had trees and was doing how we do on the street. It look like a pound & a party to me. So all inmates remember to check your privacy settings and take those close shots of yourself, you know from about arms distance, so nobody can tell what 's in your background. That way you can document ya story and share it wit ya family and friends... if that's the kinda shyt they into.
Prisoners aren't supposed to have "cell" phones, much less phones that have Internet access, but Justin Walker did. Why not though? He's in a "cell" with a "cell" phone... let the man download a few apps and make a few calls until he gets caught, but my homey don't ever show off your BlackBerry by posting videos of yourself to Facebook. That is self destruction. Think what you COULD be doing and the difference of what you are actually doing!?!? Oh my fault he can't read this article right now, cause he is in MAX!
So this goes out to everybody. Let's learn from our mistakes and just take a moment to think next time, look at your surroundings and ask yourself... is my next move my best move? Not only for yourself but for all the family & friends that will miss yo dumb ass if you make that bong hit... I mean bone head decision.
