1000 Pot Plants Seized, More than 1,000 marijuana plants with a street value of hundreds of thousands of dollars
were seized by Oakland police at an East Oakland warehouse Wednesday
night. At least a half-dozen people linked to the large operation were arrested and others may have been detained as well. Police and SWAT officers raided the warehouse in the 900 block of 89th Avenue about 9 p.m. Wednesday.
SWAT officers used flash bang grenades to gain entry. One officer said that in searching the warehouse, police found numerous growing rooms and drying rooms, as well as lighting, ventilation and other items used in the cultivation of marijuana.
